On a visit to a Korean Spa in Shanghai we were intrigued to find these strange looking igloos.
And if finding three solid stone igloos inside the relaxation hall of a Korean spa wasn't strange enough, what shocked us the most was that each igloo had a digital temperature displayed above the door.
The first igloo recorded a temperatures of 67 degrees Celsius (152F), the second 54 degrees Celsius (129F), and the third, minus 4 degrees Celsius (24F).
I seriously considered testing the 57 degree igloo, but my claustrophobia got the better of me. We opted instead to lie on the warm heating pads on the floor. Much more relaxing in my opinion.
If you're in Shanghai and game to give the igloos a go, you can visit New Star (Korean) Spa on Century Avenue in Lujiazui.
